Merry Christmas Darling

Christmas gift for yourself - a special gift for a special person

A few days ago I got myself a very special Christmas gift. I love high end high tech and I love connectivity - Hence I treated myself with a Nokia N95 - may be the finest smartphone on the entire global market. A Christmas gift to make my work easier, to allow me full mobile connectivity including connection to my web site and thus server even during travel time.

Christmas gifts of highest value always are gifts of love - gifts beyond money! My work is God and Love - because that's my life and the purpose of my entire being. Hence anything that makes my work more pleasant or more easy or more fun is something I love. Efficiency at some point in life becomes more and more important to have fun. Waste of time is waste of love potential. Hence anything that makes your life, your work you love more pleasant, more easy-flowing, more direct, more efficient .. should be considered as a potential very special Christmas gift for yourself as well.

Now that you may start to understand the importance of having a work you love from the bottom of your heart and soul - you may also understand that success in that particular work / job / business does require you to be equipped with the most powerful, most efficient tools you may need to work.

You can never expect others to know all the details you consider when choosing such a high end technical tool you consider a special help for your own loving work. It's in my case never about having a phone, it's about real connectivity that makes my working life easier. Since my working life is a full 24/7/365 any place, any time - and since my work is about love ... something I love to enjoy all my eternal life ... the tools needed to streamline all my work efforts need to be fun to use and efficient to use - the tools need to add to the fun in life !!

I chose my N95 based entirely on its features - more in another article - and the N95 has all the features I love to have since years, I missed to have since years -. all except one single feature - an SSH connectivity to my remote server for full mobile server control in emergencies or security breach situations.

I love my new "toy"-tool - it makes life work easier! Whatever makes your work easier also makes your life easier and thus your love-life easier because you have but ONE life and all need to be fun and love filled.

Think about that when you treat yourself with a very special Christmas gift .... today ! Today is Christmas time for you, because each and every day is a day of love. Hence today is the best day and NOW the best time to prove that you are ready to convert your own life into a life of love only, that you are ready to convert or merge all different parts of your life into ONE life, a life that is fun, efficient, creative, productive and above all it has to be lived with love, done with love - from the bottom of your heart and soul. Every singel heartbeat of your existence!

Go get yourself what you always wanted and needed - start today to make your life more affordable by making it more efficient and more successful. Leave all the truly valuable gifts of love to others, the direct skin to skin love, the hugging, the sweet loving, etc - that's reserved for those who love you from the bottom of their heart. The gifts that cost money are for you to to make - the gifts of love you receive from your loved ones, from God, from your family and friends. To create your best working environment and thus a stable, efficeint and successful living environment for you and your family - that is your own job to do. You should treat yourself with whatever is needed to have fun while working and to save time and resources to always remain free for the one and only important highest value in life - love!

Christmas poems

Christmas poems have been part of the Christmas tradition for ages. These poems have been written by famous poets over centuries. They are commonly written on the traditions, history and origin of Christmas.

These poems go back hundreds of years. The famous poem "Nativity" was written by John Donne who was born in 1572. However, the tradition of writing poems specifically for Christmas started in 1822 when Clement C. Moore published his famous poem "A Visit from Saint Nicholas". The poem was published under a different name - the popularly known "Night Before Christmas." He wrote it as a gift for his children and read it to them during the Christmas time. It was the story of Santa Claus, flying around on his sleigh with eight reindeers and climbing down chimneys. The story of that poem eventually became inseparable from Christmas and has forever been woven into the very idea of Christmas.

Be a creative poet

Other poets have contributed to the rich collection of popular Christmas poems. Poets like Thomas hardy, Henry, Vaughan, Richard Wilber and Henry Wordsworth Longfellow have penned Christmas poems in their times.

Some Christmas poems are dedicated to the special occasion of Christmas, while others are religious and dedicated to the Jesus Christ and His teachings. Still others are children poems meant for kids to playfully sing with friends during the Christmas season. All these poems have a common thread – they are all in the spirit of the Christmas season and touch a cord in the heart of anyone who sings it or listens to it. These also form the emotional connections to fond memories of childhood, when children of today become adults of tomorrow.

Poems have a life of their own. Admittedly, seasoned poets know how to rhyme and make it flow and thus make it an easy read. However, poems can be and have been written by many ordinary people. Whether written by famous poets and read by millions or written by a Mom for her loving children or even penned by a lonely soul talking to God out there, poems sizzle with the raw emotions contained in their words.

Combine poetry and art

Christmas poems are no different. Hidden in the lines that are all too familiar to those who read it every year are emotions, stories of bygone eras and teaching from ancient times. These provide us with a unique vision of the life at the time the poem was written. Christmas poems have been written over many years, each presenting a unique view of the same occasion, filtered by the norms of those times.

Christmas poems have been written in many forms and for many kinds of people who have played a significant role in our society and in our lives. Poems for teachers, for fathers, for mothers, funny poems, melancholy ones and many others have been written by professional and amateur writers alike.

Write a poem this season, for someone you love or care for. Or just write one to celebrate the Christmas season. Draw inspiration by reading other poems let your creativity flow. Let your words remain a fond memory for others, for years after you have passed.

Read Oh Little child

Oh Little child
~ written by Roger J. Robicheau

Oh Little child so near the tree
The precious view you clearly see

Adorned in white, a glistened sight
A chilling warmth, it's nearly night

Excitement grows within each eye
A splendid match, so bright yet shy

You make each wish, each secret part
A ray with God, so fills your heart

Your wants are small, unselfish child
Not to be wrapped, branded or styled

A world of hope, filled full of peace
A caring call, let love increase

Next year this child so wants to be
Back out to watch, this growing tree

What of our choice as time goes by
Will hope and peace and love climb high

Visions Past
~ written by Roger J. Robicheau

The Christmas tree was real
That heavy tinsel, special feel

So many lights, in sparkling view
Glass ornaments, hung neatly too

An angel perched, atop it all
Seen shining down, it did not fall

The tree was watered in its stand
It's special smell, came on so grand

Nativity, was always perched
In middle window, all would search

Side windows dressed with candlelight
I'd check the view, from sidewalk sight

All was right, this child felt sure
That special time, lived in his door

I thank you God, for visions past
Which come alive, to hold and grasp

Chrissy Christmas Tree
~ written by Daniel B. De Rosso
December 1964.

Santa was dressed in his bright red suit,
on his head was a white stocking cap.

He was sitting by the fireplace smoking
his pipe with his little dog Tim on his lap.

His cheeks were very red and his eyes
were sparkling bright.

He still had frost on his beard, for he
had been out with his reindeer most of
the night.

Mrs. Claus was sitting beside him, she
was having tea.

When all of a sudden, Santa said out
loud, "We have no Christmas tree!!!"

He ran downstairs to his workshop, and
there were all his Elves, busy as little
beavers packing toys and putting them
on shelves.

He gathered his Elves around him and
told them one and all,

"Go out into the forest, find me a tree
that's beautiful and tall".

When you see one with nice branches,
one that's perfect all around,

Then one of you come to tell me, and I'll
look at what you've found.

The Elves grabbed their axes and as
they scurried out, they wondered where
they could find this tree that Santa
spoke about.

As they searched in the forest, the snow
began to fall, and all the trees were
glistening, the big ones and the small.

Little Chrissy Christmas Tree was sad
and all alone. He knew he wasn't
perfect for he was not full grown.

But all he ever dreamed about since the
Day he was born, was to be in Santa's
castle just in time for Christmas morn.

In that castle made of Gingerbread with
an Ice Cream Soda moat,

With a bridge made of Candy Canes,
and a big chocolate boat.

All the Sugar Plums, Walnuts and fruit
that were inside, all the goodies Mrs.
Claus made, the baked ones and the
fried.

All his big brothers heard him. Oh! How
they made fun!

They said of all the trees Santa could
choose from he certainly would not be
the one.

Whenever Chrissy heard this his
branches would heave and sigh, and as
the wind howled about him he would
begin to cry.

His tears froze into icicles, his branches
began to glow.

He really looked beautiful as he swayed
to and fro.

As the Elves searched in the forest that
bitter cold night, they noticed a beam of
very strange light.

They followed it to see where it led.

They came upon Chrissey, and saw a
Moon Beam shining on all the tears he
had shed.

Then, without any warning, they fell
into snow soft and deep.

No one was around to help them, most
people were fast asleep.

The Elves were very scared and cold,
they all began to shout.

Chrissy quickly dipped his branches to
help the Elves scamper out.

The Elves were very grateful for what
Chrissy had done. They all decided then
and there that Chrissey was the one.

For although he wasn't perfect and not
very tall. He had shown the true
Christmas spirit, by helping them from
their fall.

They sent the Snow Elf for Santa, so he
could see the tree they had chosen.

They told Santa, "If it hadn't been for
Chrissy's help we certainly would have
frozen.

When Santa saw Chrissy he was pleased
as could be.

He said, "We'll put him by the fireplace
where every one can see!"

Chrissy was so happy that he grew
before their eyes.

Before you could say "Jack Frost", he
was just perfect in size.

In Santa's Castle he'll stay forever to be
seen by all good boys and girls.

His branches will be full of stars and
he'll be draped in pearls.

So if you ever go to Christmas Land
away beyond the sea, by chance you
may come upon Santa's Castle and his
beautiful Chrissy Christmas Tree.

A Christmas Wish
by Philiipe Brisebois

A time of year
To think of love and sharing
A time of peace
For the whole world to cherish
A time to be with all your friends and family
And wish them all
A Merry Christmas

Making angles in the snow
or sliding down a hill
roasting chestnuts on the fire
takes away the chill
Candy canes and mistle toe
and grand-ma’s home made pie
Ginger bread and hot co-co
You know it’s Christmas time

Seasons come and seasons pass
but we still remember
the joy we shared on Christmas last
looking forward to next December
Flowers bloom, then pumpkins grow,
then suddenly it starts to snow.
Then our hearts are young again
You know it’s Christmas time.

On Christmas eve
Santa will soon be coming
with lots of toys
for girls and boys to play with.
To see their eyes sparkle like stars above
is all we need for a Merry Christmas....
So live your life with kindness and love in your heart
and you’ll always have a merry Christmas.

The True Meaning Of Christmas
by Brian K. Walters

In todays' day and time,
it's easy to lose sight,
of the true meaning of Christmas
and one special night.

When we go shopping,
We say "How much will it cost?"
Then the true meaning of Christmas,
Somehow becomes lost.

Amidst the tinsel, glitter
And ribbons of gold,
We forget about the child,
born on a night so cold.

The children look for Santa
In his big, red sleigh
Never thinking of the child
Whose bed was made of hay.

In reality,
When we look into the night sky,
We don't see a sleigh
But a star, burning bright and high.

A faithful reminder,
Of that night so long ago,
And of the child we call Jesus,
Whose love, the world would know.

The Angel Lady
by Bob Lazzar-Atwood

She was called the Angel Lady for the ornaments she made,
She carved them out of scraps of fir and pine,
They echoed a belief she held from which she never strayed,
That angels are around us all the time.
She first received her calling with a heart consumed by grief,
The year her loving husband passed away,
She found that carving offered her a measure of relief
And it brought a sense of purpose to her day.
And then when Christmas came with all the memories it brings,
And clouds of sadness fell upon her heart,
She carved her husband's likeness with a pair of angel wings,
And magically the clouds began to part.
She fixed it with a piece of string and hung it on the tree,
He always loved the smell of fresh cut fir,
And when she sat beside the tree to carve a bit or read,
She felt his loving presence close to her.
When others saw the ornament, her neighbors and her friends,
They marveled at how lifelike it appeared,
They begged her to consider carving ornaments for them
Of loved ones they had lost throughout the years.
And so her mission started and her reputation spread,
As orders came from cities far and wide,
From people who were seeking some remembrance of their dead,
And comfort from the pain they felt inside.
The children were the hardest and it often made her weep,
To carve their childish features in the pine,
But late at night a voice would reassure her in her sleep
That angels were around them all the time.
And one day she received a special letter in her box
From a boy whose family dog had passed away,
She thought about it briefly and then asked herself "why not?"
And she started carving pets that very day.
For twenty years she carved until her hands were old and tired
And all her youthful energy was gone,
But her belief in angels always made her feel inspired
And helped her find the strength to carry on.
And then one Christmas day a neighbor found her in her chair,
Her heart no longer sounding its commands,
With shavings all around her, in her clothing and her hair,
Her carving blade still nestled in her hand.
And as the medics came and slowly wheeled her to the door,
Her grieving friends were too distraught to see,
The photograph that rested right beside her on the floor
Or the newest little angel on the tree.
It hung there by her husbands like two birds upon a limb,
A woman carved in wood still wet with stain,
Her head was turned and she was smiling lovingly at him,
And he was looking back at her the same.
Like all the other angels she had carved throughout her days,
The image was so real it chilled the spine,
And engraved upon the bottom was this very simple phrase,
"Angels are around us all the time,"

It's Christmas Time
by Bob Lazzar-Atwood.

Put your problems on probation
Run your troubles off the track,
Throw your worries out the window
Get the monkeys off your back.
Silence all your inner critics
With your conscience make amends,
And allow yourself some happiness
It's Christmas time again!
Call a truce with those who bother you
Let all the fighting cease,
Give your differences a breather
And declare a time of peace,
Don't let angry feelings taint
The precious time you have to spend,
And allow yourself some happiness
It's Christmas time again!
Like some cool refreshing water
Or a gentle summer breeze,
Like a fresh bouquet of flowers
Or the smell of autumn leaves,
It's a banquet for the spirit
Filled with family, food and friends,
So allow yourself some happiness
It's Christmas time again!

A daughter's tribute to her mom
by Prasadi Fernando

You are the eyes I have,
You are the sun of my world,
Who come to me having measureless love,
You are more precious than even a God to me,
Whenever it is I feel your romance,
I feel your pulse,
Your sparkling eyes strength me,
I had this world because of you.
I beg you pardon for every fault I did.
Now it's my time, I'll be your eyes,
I need nothing if you are with me.
I can fight even with God for you,
I can give everything for you,
I'll be with you till I'm alive,
You are everlasting in my heart ,
I'm your sweet little girl,
Until there's the sun and the moon
Every fortune will be yours !

'Tis Time

Hark! 'Tis time for our grand Ol' Saint Nick
to polish his sleigh 'till it's glittering slick,
then beckon Rudolph with velvet sleeve
"Away! Let us dash 'round the world this fine eve!"

Through sky's star lights and snowflakes they speed,
staying alert for jumbo jets they must heed.
"Tis there!" Santa shouts at rooftops sight
of the child whose Wish List they'll fill first this night.

With reindeer hushed, their sleigh comes to rest
atop the sleeping house of our Saint Nick's quest.
Betwixt gift boxes with shining bows
he takes out a silk bag so golden it glows.

"Whoosh" down the chimney, gently he lands
sets down his surprise and unties satin bands.
One by one, answered wishes appear -
Santa checks off his list to see they're each here.

"I've brought thee a chest of Rainbows bright
and soft flutter of Butterfly wings in flight.
A feather of Hope 'tis here to shake,
and Stardust to sprinkle, what Magic ye'll make!

Sparkling inside clear crystal that gleams
are Faith in Miracles and Trust in Your Dreams."
Alas, came the last wish - Santa sighed,
he'd no way to grant it, though elves how they'd tried.

"I wish, Sweet Lad, Peace was in this sack."
Tapping his nose, in the red sleigh he was back.
Surrounded by longed-for dolls and trains,
upward they lifted with a click of deer reins.

"There's hope, young man, peace will find it's way
if all the world says your prayer on Christmas Day….

"Please heal mankind's wounds and Let Love Win
then my Daddy can come home to us, Amen."

Message From Santa Claus

If it were in my powers,
I would bring peace and love,
To this world of ours,
But I don't have magic enough,
I can cross the sky,
and pass by the stars,
But I can't seem to stop,
Any of hatred's wars,
I see children on the street,
With no hope left,
in the eyes.
So many homeless people
with no where to sleep.
And my heart cries.
I can't give the things they need,
Oh But God I would try.
I'm only a fantasy,
that once took wings to fly,
Some are deceived,
by the gifts that money can buy,
But those who truly believe,
see the gift with the heart,
not with the eye,
I sometime stop and go to my knees,
and pause,
and I too always pray,
That we will find a end to wars,
and live in peace one day.
For all those who believe in me,
I will continue my cause,
Across the stars,
over the wars,
On Christmas Eve,
For the hearts that still believe,
In Santa Claus
