Here’s your chance to own a copy of “Evening Walk, Lake Junalusaka” an original oil painting by local artist Jo Ridge Kelley. Painted to detail the fall foliage and beautfy of our local attraction, Lake Junaluska, the original was auctioned at a fundraiser for local charity Mountaintop Healthcare.Mountaintop Healthcare is a local nonprofit health clinic serving Western North Carolina. Through a contractual partnership with the Good Samaritan Clinic of Haywood County they help to provide primary care to uninsured and underserved adults. The clinic also boasts services such as a walk-in dermatology clinic, a narcotic addiction program and mental health services.

This unique model of a nonprofit, free clinic is being duplicated in other counties in WNC. McDowell County will be the first to open their door in early 2009.
